Justin Johnson, Founder of MEGA Goaltending

Justin has been a hockey goaltender for over 20 years. He played in the Blaine Youth Hockey Association where he set school records, participated in a State Consolation Championship, and was elected All-State Honorable Mention in 1999. He currently serves as USA Hockey’s MN District Associate Goalie Coach in Chief and as the goaltending coach for the U of M Men’s program. Read more

Andrew Kent, Director of Goaltender Development, North Campus

Kent was a four-year letter winner at Augsburg, playing from '05-09. During his four seasons playing for the Auggies, he played in 71 games and is listed among Augsburg’s all-time top 10 in career saves, career save percentage, and career average saves per game. Read more

Adam Gronlund, Girl's Director of Goaltender Development

Adam is a 2001 Graduate of Coon Rapids High School. 4-year Varsity starting goaltender at Coon Rapids, he still holds the record for most starts and most saves in a career.  Adam was invited to be a part of the USA National Team Development Program in 1998 Read more

Steve Witkowski, Lead Instructor 

Steve grew up playing in the Blaine, MN youth hockey association. While at Blaine High School, he played in two state tournaments where he won the 2000 state hockey championship and finished all-state honorable mention. Read more

Jacque Vezina,  Director of Goaltender Development, South Campus

In high school, Jacque was a part of a State Tournament team and was named 1st team All State during his Junior & Senior years. Hockey then took Jacque to Great Falls, MT where he spent two years playing in the AWHL (which since merged with the NAHL).  His team won the League Championship in 1999 and Jacque was named team MVP and league MVP. Read more

Our mission is to provide venues and opportunities for the position of goaltending to be the source of a great experience for athletes, coaches, and parents. We will do this through training, education, and mentoring. Our passion and relentless pursuit of effective coaching princinples will be what sets us apart, and revealed in each goalie's results.
