Brock KautzEast Campus Lead Instructor

Brock grew up playing youth and high school hockey in Rochester, Minnesota. He was involved in numerous select festivals and played AAA for the Minnesota Blades during his off-seasons of youth hockey. When he was 14 years old he was selected to attend the Warren Strelow United States National Development Goalie Camp with a select amount of goalies across the country in his birth year. Brock was also selected twice to represent Minnesota as one of two goalies to participate in National Camp in New York where he was selected as one of the top four goalies in the country for his age group.

Brock played one year of high school hockey for Rochester Century where he won Big Nine All-Conference team. After high school, he played five years in the North American Hockey League. Brock spent one year playing for the Owatonna Express, three years with the Janesville Jets, and one year with the Minnesota Wilderness. In his final season with the Wilderness he was a Robertson Cup Champion, Robertson Cup MVP, and a team captain.

After Brock’s junior career, he was offered a spot on the University of Minnesota Gophers team, where he played for four years. He graduated in the Spring of 2019 with a Sports Management degree. Brock has retired from playing hockey but is still passionate about growing and giving back to the sport he played for over 20 years.

Brock has spent the past few summers as a part time coach for MEGA and is now in a full time position. He brings a lot of experience from playing and coaching both youth and high school kids throughout his career.
